Does your organization want to utilize more open-source software? Are you planning to focus more on cloud computing, in-memory computing, software-defined storage, more flexible databases, high-performance computing, and other state-of-the-art methods? UC Santa Cruz’s Open Source Research Experience (OSRE) offers you the chance to participate in projects that will save you money, make your products and development cycles run faster and utilize the latest approaches, and provide insight you could never achieve on your own.
Come join our information session on March 9. Learn how your organization can engage in open source summer projects performed by exceptional undergraduates selected by UCSC faculty, researchers, and PhD students. At a surprisingly low cost, you can sponsor highly productive teams engaged in open source software engineering and graduate-level research - and your people can participate throughout the summer at a level of their choice. The information session will cover the work our researchers are doing and the project ideas they have for OSRE students. Initial examples are available at uccross.github.io/projects and cover hardware synthesis and simulation, and storage and management of tables in Ceph.
