Fourth CROSS Research Symposium & Eleventh Systems Oktoberfest (Oct 2-3, 2019)

October 2 & 3, 2019

The 4th Annual CROSS Research Symposium and 11th UC Santa Cruz Systems Oktoberfest will be held on October 2 & 3, 2019 at the Baskin School of Engineering, University of California Santa Cruz.

This two-day Symposium will provide an opportunity to learn about the research at CROSS, interact with CROSS faculty, graduate students, and affiliated researchers, and discuss future directions and collaborative research projects at UC Santa Cruz. In keeping with tradition, the UC Santa Cruz Systems Research Lab will host its annual Oktoberfest barbeque dinner on the evening of the first day of the symposium.

Each day will begin with a plenary session and continue with two tracks of topic-specific workshops. Our plenary sessions will include a number of keynotes by noted open source experts.

The workshop topics will include:

  • Architecture specification
  • Chancery & Tracery
  • Distributed systems security
  • Eusocial Storage Devices
  • Inconsistent Databases
  • Reproducibility
  • Storage Systems

A preliminar agenda will be available by early July so check back soon.

Registration for the event will open in mid-August.
